A UTX PC system (single-board computer), a freely programmable hardware module, and the iterative learning controller (ILC) set decisive standards with regard to speed and precision.
The patented, 15" full-touch display enables intuitive, uncomplicated and therefore fast and secure operation throughout.
While the computer takes over all control functions with the real time operating system, the newly developed hardware module relieves it of all time-relevant tasks. Extensive calculation processes, which constantly occur in the injection moulding cycle and negatively influence the processing speed of customary, computer-aided machine controls, are being carried out by this new hardware module without delay and with utmost precision.
A patented "iterative learning controller" (ILC) ensures that a stable state of actual values is quickly reached and maintained. In a manner of speaking, the ILC learns during machine operation from one cycle to the next and thus knows which alterations in pressure, stroke, and speed will occur, adapting accordingly. Set values will be attained faster and more precisely.
Stored in the system is the entire operation manual of the control, including explanations of alarm codes, a complete list of alarm causes, and fault corrections. In case of need, the operator has immediate access to the required information.
